I thought it would be a fun idea to start a series called The Black Girl Diaries. Because after all I am black and I enjoy being black. Being black isn’t the easiest when it comes to certain things, such as getting a job, but I am proud of my background.
I am half Ghanian and half Jamaican, so I have the best of both worlds. You could say I have a very large family, when combining both my mum and dad’s side, which is amazing. I’ve grown up in London my whole life and know no different. I went to Jamaica a couple of years ago, and let me tell you, it was beautiful! Annoyingly, I barely took any pictures, as I was just too hot and bothered, not being used to the hot climate living in England. I one hundred percent will visit Ghana one day, I mean it’s a must! If you have visited either Ghana or Jamaica let me know what you thought of it.
What Will You Expect In This Series
So I have already noted down some ideas for The Black Girl Series and let me tell you, I’m quite looking forwards to it! Some ideas are ‘stereotypes given to black girls’ and ‘black girl struggles’. If you have any requests on what you would like to see, deffo leave a comment down below. I also plan on doing tutorial based posts, such as ‘quick and easy hairstyles for black girls’.
